A Tampa area homeowner contacted us in regards to water showing up on the floor in their laundry room. This Tampa homeowner could not figure out where the water leak was coming from. At first, they assumed it was from a leaking washing machine as the water was showing up near the washer. After replacing the washing machine and mopping up the water on the floor several times, they realized they may have a leak on the plumbing pipes inside of the wall or underneath the concrete slab. We arrived on site and performed an infrared leak detection for them which showed us where the highest concentration of moisture was in the wall in the laundry room area. There turned out to be a small plumbing pipe leak on one of the plumbing lines that feeds the washing machine. The wall was opened up in the exact spot needing repair causing minimal damage to the Tampa property. If leaking water is not taken care of soon after it occurs, it could potentially cause a problem with mold growth. Water is much easier to clean up in Tampa area properties than it is to deal with a mold issue.
